About Us

I'm Jason Leuck—a husband, father, and entrepreneur. Despite being paralyzed from the chest down due to a spinal cord injury, I've embraced entrepreneurship with determination.

I have a diverse background in entrepreneurship, sales and product development and I’m very mechanically inclined.  My experience includes product development, sourcing, marketing, B2B/B2C and social media management. I possess strong leadership skills and a track record of completing projects successfully. I rely on a combination of manual and power wheelchairs for daily mobility.

I have been disabled since 2008 after a car accident in Omaha, Nebraska, which left me paralyzed and with a traumatic brain injury.  My accident happened with my car losing control and going off the road, hitting a train ravine.  A motorist saw me and called the ambulance, who arrived, finding me not breathing, and I was resuscitated at the scene.   After spending time in a coma, and being in three different hospitals, I was finally transferred one hour away to Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital in Lincoln, Nebraska.  After six months in rehabilitation, I moved back to Omaha for about two years.  One day sitting at the chiropractor's office I was reading a newspaper and an article caught my attention about Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital just receiving the Lokomat Therapy training device.  According to Hocoma, the Lokomat is the world's leading robotic rehabilitation device that provides highly repetitive and the most physiological movement training (https://www.hocoma.com).

Newly injured I was eager to use the Lokomat and quickly made all the necessary plans to move back to Lincoln.  In just three weeks I was set up with Lokomat Therapy at Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital, rides, and living in a one-bedroom extended stay motel room.  This was over ten years ago, and I’m still living in Lincoln, Nebraska.  Since then, I’ve had a couple of jobs, started my own food cart business, and met my fiancé.  I finally discovered my true passion through trials and tribulations to create products for spinal cord injured and disabled people.  I have always been an entrepreneur but realized after my car accident I couldn't do the work I did when I was walking and failed trying.  After I moved back to Lincoln, I started a food cart business but soon realized that was too much work for me.

After I met my fiancé in 2015, a C6-C7 quadriplegic, I discovered my true passion, creating products helping other spinal cord injured people.  It was in 2017 I decided to solve SCI wheelchair users' first of many problems. Using a manual wheelchair, I was constantly dropping, losing, or forgetting my valuables.  I did not like many of the products I saw available and was determined to create something better.  I wanted to create a bag, which easily attached to your wheelchair and is not bulky or cumbersome.  I knew I wanted to make it readily available to reach for your stuff.  I had worked in my dad's shop as a kid installing nameplates on top of dump bodies and used rivets to attach them.  I used this same concept to attach a bag to a thin, durable, bendable board you could slide under a person's wheelchair seat cushion while using Velcro to be more secure.  Through trial and error, in 2019 CushPocket Wheelchair Storage Bag was launched (cushpocket.com) or simply a bag for a wheelchair, my slogan (Push With A Cush).

My experience repairing wheelchairs not only enabled me to understand the challenges and issues faced by wheelchair users but also provided the necessary funding and motivation for the development of the CushPocket Wheelchair Bag.  This unique product stands out with its exceptional patented design, functionality and quality.

In summary, I'm the proud designer of the CushPocket Wheelchair Bag—a trademarked and patented innovation. Recently, I launched my second life-changing product The Püllow™ aimed at improving bowel care for paralyzed individuals and shower commode wheelchair users.

All my products are original innovations—no copycats here.
